GENERAL INFORMATION
ITINTERARY
Bryce Canyon National Park is a 2 hour drive north of Hurricane. On Wednesday, the day prior to the start of the reunion, anyone interested can meet up for a fun day in this area. Travel options may include:
- Drive straight to Bryce on Wednesday (if you are close enough)
- Travel to Hurricane on Tuesday, then drive to Bryce on Wednesday morning.
- Travel to Bryce on Tuesday and stay at "Ruby's Inn", a historic hotel located at the park entrance. Ruby's Inn has hotel rooms, camp sites, tee-pees and RV sites available. Check their website for rates: https://www.rubysinn.com/.
Red Canyon Bike or Nature Walk
Meeting Location: Thunder Mountain Trailhead (Click for Map)
Meeting Time: 9:00 AM
What to Bring: Sunscreen! A jacket for the cool morning air. Comfy shoes.
Activity Options:
Red Canyon Scenic Walk (Easy) -
For anyone not feeling up for biking, you can enjoy this scenic walk through Red Canyon. Without much hiking or walking, you'll get up close to some hoo-doos. You can also enjoy the information at the visitor center.
Red Canyon Bike (Moderate) -
Most of you will want to bike the paved trail which traverses the canyon as it winds through the pine trees. We will shuttle you to the top of the trail, then you can just enjoy the scenery as you coast downhill. This is a 20 minute downhill ride requires almost no pedaling, and can be completed by anyone who can ride a bike.
Mossy Cave Walk / Hike

Meeting Time: 11:00 AM
What to Bring: Sandals, flip-flops or water shoes. Water. Sunscreen.
Activity Options:
Mossy Cave Walk (Easy) -
The majority of the Mossy Cave trail is flat and groomed. It follows along a scenic creek with ample opportunities for pictures and to dip your feet in the water.
Mossy Cave Waterfall (Moderate) -
A short distance from the main trail is a fun little waterfall. To reach it, you will leave the trail and walk in the water. Please wear flip-flops or water shoes. Do not get your hiking shoes wet as you will have other hikes later. If you don't have flip-flops or water shoes, go barefoot!
LUNCH

What to Bring: Your Own Lunch. If needed stop in Town of Bryce before entering the part to purchase lunch.
BRYCE CANYON HIKES
Meeting Location: Sunset Point (Click for Map)
Meeting Time: 2:00 PM
What to Bring: Comfy shoes. Water. Sunscreen.
Activity Options:
Rim Trail (Easy) -
The rim trail is a paved sidewalk which follows the rim of Bryce Canyon. Views are spectacular. You can choose how far you want to walk before returning to Sunset Point.
Navajo Loop (Moderate) -
This trail goes right through the middle of it all and is an unforgettable experience. It is short (less than 2 miles), but is a good workout with over 1000 ft of elevation change. With the innumerable photo ops, the hike has plenty of stops and can be completed by armature hikers and kids.
