FRIDAY - THE BEACH AT SAND HOLLOW

GENERAL INFORMATION

Sand Hollow Reservoir is about 10 minutes from Hurricane. This reservoir was built in an area of sand dunes and rock formations, creating amazing beaches and clear water (for a lake).  This is a state park with good facilities and an entrance fee.

ITINTERARY

Morning Yoga

What to Bring: Comfy clothes.

Description: 

All ages, genders, skill levels, and body types are welcome.  Enjoy peaceful music while you release mental and physical stress through stretching and breathing. 

Red Cliffs Reserve

Meeting Location: Red Cliffs Recreation Area (Click for Map)

Meeting Time: 9:00 AM

What to Bring: Sunscreen! Comfy shoes.  

Descriptions:

On this short hike, you'll see iconic southern Utah red rock formations and desert landscapes.   This is a desert tortoise reserve, so you may even see some wildlife.  Adventurous hikers will use a rope to scale a small waterfall.

Menu: Domino's Pizza (delivered to the beach). Sides.

Sand Hollow Beach Activities

What to Bring: Sunscreen! Swimsuit.  

Description:

Relax on the Beach. Enjoy some shade under trees or a cabana. Play in the sand and build a castle.  Take a turn on a kayak.  Swim in the lake.  Make sure to stay wet and drink lots of water!

Activity Options:

Boat Ride and Cliff Jump (Exciting) - 

Ride on a boat as a spectator to wakeboarding, tubing, or surfing.  Choose to cliff jump or jump off the boat for a refreshing dip in the water.  

Tubing and Cliff Jump (Thrilling) - 

Try to hold on as you're pulled around the lake on a tube.  Watch and cheer on others.  Stop at a cliff jumping area an choose your jumping height. 

Wakeboard and Cliff Jump (Thrilling) - 

Show-off your skills or try out wakeboarding for the first time.  Watch and cheer on others.  Stop at a cliff jumping area an choose your jumping height.

Surf and Cliff Jump (Thrilling) - 

Show-off your skills or try out boat surfing for the first time.  Watch and cheer on others.  Stop at a cliff jumping area an choose your jumping height.

ATV Rides (Exciting) - 

Wind through the rocks and dunes on sandy trails.  

ATV Night Ride (Thrilling) - 

Experience a high speed (but safe) run through the desert at night. 

Dinner

Menu: BBQ (served at the beach). Meat, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, rolls.  

Dive-In Movie

Finish off the day by enjoying a movie under the cool desert evening sky.  The movie will play on a huge outdoor screen as you watch from the beach or floating on the lake.
